Los Blancos return home after their victory in El Clásico last weekend, which gave them a five-point lead over Barcelona in the league table. The press conference was notably influenced by questions about Vinicius’s substitution during the Clásico.

“After a very positive first week, another demanding one is coming — two league games and a Champions League trip. We want to end this stretch on a high note, starting against Valencia,” said the coach from San Sebastián.

Xabi Alonso also addressed Vinicius’s recent comments with satisfaction: “We had a meeting with the whole team on Wednesday, and Vinicius was impeccable. He spoke sincerely and very well. For me, it’s over — there are no consequences.”

Regarding the player’s statement, which did not mention him directly, Alonso was clear: “It was a very valuable and positive message. He showed his honesty and spoke from the heart. What matters most is what he said, and I was very pleased. The issue was resolved on Wednesday.”
