The contract renewal of Vinicius Jr. remains one of the biggest priorities at Real Madrid, but negotiations continue to be held up by significant financial differences between the two parties.
While discussions remain ongoing, the Brazilian's main contract demands have now been revealed. According to Diario AS, Vinicius is seeking a salary close to €20 million net per season, a substantial increase from the approximately €15 million net he currently earns under the extension he signed in 2022.
Salary, however, is only part of the negotiations. The winger is also requesting control over a very large percentage of his image rights, following a structure similar to Kylian Mbappé's, as well as a significant signing bonus as part of the new agreement.
Real Madrid are carefully evaluating these requests while remaining committed to extending the Brazilian's contract. At the same time, the club is determined not to compromise its long-standing wage structure, believing that maintaining financial balance within the squad is essential.
The next round of meetings is expected to be decisive. They will reveal whether both sides are moving closer to an agreement or whether negotiations over one of the club's biggest stars will continue into the coming weeks.
