Real Madrid won the derby at the Santiago Bernabéu, securing their fifth consecutive victory before the international break after defeating Atlético Madrid 3–2.

It was an intense, high-scoring clash in which Madrid had to come from behind. Atlético took the lead just before halftime through Ademola Lookman, leaving the visitors 1–0 ahead at the break.

Madrid responded immediately after halftime. Vinícius Júnior converted a penalty to equalize before Federico Valverde put the hosts in front early in the second half. Atlético fought back again, with Molina making it 2–2 in the 66th minute.

The decisive moment came just six minutes later when Vinícius scored again to restore Madrid’s lead, completing his brace and marking his second consecutive game with two goals.

The drama was not over, however. In the 77th minute, referee José Luis Munuera Montero sent off Valverde with a straight red card. Despite playing the final minutes with ten men, Real Madrid showed great determination and defensive solidarity to protect their lead and secure a crucial derby victory.
