He capped his display by being named Man of the Match, and spoke afterward in the mixed zone, expressing gratitude to his teammates and reaffirming his love for the club.
"This award is the result of all the work the team does. They always support me, and this is for them. I hope all of this leads to another title for Real Madrid so we can celebrate together,” said Vinícius.
The forward also used the moment to once again state his desire to remain at the club for the long haul. "I hope I can stay here for many years. I've always said this is the club of my life. I'm very happy with the coach and the staff, and I hope to stay here.”
