Federico Valverde has yet to fully recover from his injury, as reported by journalist Jorge Picon via Relevo. The Real Madrid midfielder played through discomfort in his thigh during the recent clash against Atlético Madrid.

According to Picon, Valverde was determined to be available for the match, pushing himself despite the pain. The coaching staff monitored him closely, making the final call after the last training session. “Despite the discomfort, he was adamant about playing,” Picon shared.

Valverde delivered an intense performance despite his condition, assisting Rodrygo's goal with a precise pass and contributing crucial defensive efforts during the first half. However, as the game progressed, signs of fatigue became apparent. By the 70th minute, Valverde showed visible discomfort after a defensive move. Though Lucas Vázquez was prepared to come on, Valverde insisted on continuing.

It wasn't until the 82nd minute that Valverde called for a substitution, allowing Lucas to replace him. "He endured pain throughout the match but gave everything for the team," Picon added.
