Fede Valverde has returned to Real Madrid following his participation in the FIFA World Cup and has officially begun preparations for the 2026/27 season.
The Uruguayan midfielder, who will captain the team this campaign, arrived at Real Madrid City on Wednesday morning to undergo his scheduled medical examinations before rejoining the squad.
Before taking part in his first preseason training session, Valverde greeted José Mourinho, marking his first meeting with the Portuguese coach since returning from international duty.
With the captain now back at Valdebebas, Mourinho continues to welcome his World Cup participants as Real Madrid gradually assemble their full squad ahead of the new season.
