I was lucky enough to be here with a whole range of teammates. Thank you to Laso for designing the three-point plays, the centers for their blocks and the best point guards in the world for giving me assists. I'd like to thank my family because without them I couldn't have been here for so many years. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I will be eternally grateful. I love you all”. The fans responded with a standing ovation for the American, who posed for photos alongside the team.

He won 20 titles during his ten years with Real Madrid, including two Euroleagues, one Intercontinental Cup, five leagues, six Copas del Rey, and six Super Cups. Carroll is also the third most capped Real Madrid player of all time, trailing only Felipe Reyes and Sergio Llull.
