Trent Alexander-Arnold is going through a difficult period at Real Madrid. The Englishman arrived last season expected to become a regular starter, but injuries and a lengthy adaptation process prevented him from establishing himself in the team. His adjustment to life at the club remains a work in progress, with doubts continuing over whether he can become an undisputed starter. For now, José Mourinho appears to have greater confidence in Denzel Dumfries, who was brought in to strengthen the squad.

Alexander-Arnold's situation has sparked speculation about a possible departure from Real Madrid. However, he remains highly regarded in the Premier League, where he produced some of his best performances and demonstrated his full potential. According to Marca, several English clubs are interested in signing him during the January transfer window, hoping to take advantage of his current situation. Chelsea has been the club most frequently linked with the right-back so far.

Despite his difficult circumstances, however, a departure is not currently being considered. According to Marca, the main reason is that Alexander-Arnold has no intention of leaving Real Madrid and remains determined to succeed at the club.

The Englishman is still hoping to turn his situation around and secure a starting place on the right flank, although his position is far from guaranteed. The battle for the role remains open, with Dumfries's place in the starting lineup also not entirely secure.
