Trent Alexander-Arnold is beginning to find his rhythm at Real Madrid after a difficult start to the season marked by injuries and inconsistent performances. Now, the former Liverpool player is establishing himself in Álvaro Arbeloa’s starting eleven and openly admits he is in strong form.

Speaking to CBS Sports after qualification for the Champions League quarterfinals, Trent highlighted the significance of eliminating Manchester City: “I’ve lost many titles against City. I know how difficult it is to beat them, and we did a great job. Vinícius Júnior, Federico Valverde, the center-backs… everyone worked very well to go through.”

On his personal improvement, he credited the coach’s trust: “The coach’s confidence in me, which I can show on the pitch, gives me more confidence. I started the season at a lower level and with several injuries. Now I feel very good physically, and little by little I’m contributing more to the team.”

He also spoke honestly about adapting to life in Madrid: “It hasn’t been easy or difficult, something in between. The club and the fans have helped me a lot. I can’t thank them enough. It’s important to want to adapt to the city, and learning the language is fundamental. I don’t speak Spanish very well yet, but I can get by, and that’s helping me a lot.”
