Théo Maledon has suffered a new muscle setback at Real Madrid. The point guard, considered a key piece for the club’s future, will miss several games as he recovers from a physical issue that was confirmed this Friday. The injury affects the adductor longus muscle in his right leg.
During Thursday’s game at the Palacio against Monaco, which Real Madrid won comfortably 90-78, Maledon was forced to leave the court in the first half and did not return. He was on the floor for just 1 minute and 11 seconds before heading to the locker room. Medical tests later confirmed the muscle injury, which is expected to keep him sidelined for several weeks.
While the problem is not considered serious, it is not Maledon’s first muscle issue of the season. Back in September, a similar setback involving the adductor brevis muscle in his left leg interrupted his progress between the preseason and the start of official competition.
