Toni Kroos had an emotional tribute in his last game at the Santiago Bernabéu. His teammates and the fans gave an honorable farewell to the legend, who on May 21 announced his retirement from professional football after Euro 2024.

The Bernabéu received Kroos prior to the match against Betis, displaying a large banner with the image of the midfielder and the 22 titles he has won so far with our club and on which one could read: "Thank you, legend."

Real Madrid players, wearing shirts with the number 8, and also Betis players, gave him a guard of honor upon his entrance to the field. In the 86th minute, the fans said goodbye to Kroos with a huge ovation when he was replaced by Ceballos. The German legend left the field hugging all of his teammates, Carlos Ancelotti and the rest of the coaching staff one by one.

At the end of the game, the emotional tribute continued. Kroos was blanketed by the squad and took an unforgettable tour of honor at the Bernabéu, accompanied by his children and teammates. Before leaving the grass after another hallway of players and coaching staff, he immortalized the moment with a family photo.
