Harry Kane was crowned the 2026 Ballon d'Or winner last Monday, finishing ahead of Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal. The points awarded by each of the journalists who voted for France Football have since been revealed, confirming just how close the race was. The Englishman beat Mbappé by only 28 points, making it the fourth-narrowest winning margin in the award's history.

Kane finished ahead of Mbappé, who claimed the Silver Ball, by a remarkably small margin. The gap was even greater between the Frenchman and Lamine Yamal, who took third place and the Bronze Ball. Rodri and Lionel Messi completed the top five.

Under the voting system, each journalist selects 10 players from the 30 nominees. The first choice receives 15 points, followed by 12 for second place, 10 for third, and then 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point for the remaining selections.
