However, attention suddenly shifted when José Mourinho stepped onto the Veltins-Arena pitch sporting a black eye. His appearance immediately sparked a wave of speculation on social media, but the explanation was far simpler.

Mourinho suffered the injury after being hit by a ball during Real Madrid’s final training session. The ball struck his glasses, causing them to break and leaving him with the injury that he subsequently had while leading the team in Gelsenkirchen.

The injury is not considered serious, and sources told the newspaper that Mourinho is doing well. His recovery will simply require patience and time.
