On August 10, Thibaut Courtois tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the penultimate training session before the first league match.

A few months later, the Belgian suffered another injury—a meniscus tear in his right knee—which forced him to postpone his return to football, which finally took place on May 4 against Cádiz.

A documentary series called "The Return of Number 1," produced by Wakai Media, will be released in September on Amazon Prime Video, and it will reflect his 10 difficult months away from the playing fields.

In the first preview provided by the production company, we can see the exact moment of the Belgian's injury in Valdebebas. He rejects a shot, and in that moment his ligament breaks, and immediately the heartbreaking screams of pain follow one another. Moments of pain and anguish on the Valdebebas grass with the devastating cries of pain that foreshadowed the worst as it ended up happening.
