Mbappé will earn less at Real Madrid than he did in Paris. That's a fact. However, the difference isn't as significant as it initially appears. Real Madrid has arranged for Mbappé's annual earnings to range between 40-50 million euros net. But if his salary is only 15 million, where does the rest of his income come from?

The newspaper AS reports that Mbappé's contract includes various financial components to ensure he retains a significant portion of his earnings. One key element is image rights. Unlike the usual 50-50 split, Real Madrid will allow Mbappé to receive 80% of his image rights revenue. Additionally, he will receive a signing bonus, prorated annually over the five seasons of his contract. In 2022, this bonus amounted to 100 million euros, but it may have been reduced due to the club's favorable circumstances.

If Mbappé's salary doesn't exceed 15 million euros, it's because the club is keen on maintaining the squad's salary structure, ensuring Mbappé's earnings align with those of Vinicius and Bellingham. The Mbappé phenomenon brings its own set of implications.
