From a private box in the North End of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, Borja, a worker at the new Real Madrid venue, shared with David Sánchez in Despierta San Francisco what the day-to-day life of a worker in the pharaonic work of the Real Madrid Coliseum is like.

Borja, who is from Albacete, declares himself an "anti-Madridista", but admits that the Santiago Bernabéu is on another level. "I am an anti-Madridista, but the stadium is very beautiful. The work is wonderful," he confesses, while revealing that he has a teammate who "comes with an Atlético sticker on his helmet." "I'm not the only one who isn't from Real Madrid," he says between laughs, before telling what day-to-day life is like on the construction site.

"We arrive around 7:30 and stay there for eight hours, until about 4:00. We take a 30-minute break to eat around 9:30. Then, at 2:00 pm, we have our lunch. The food is provided by my company. We eat really well", according to the worker in charge of the facilities. "I'm working in the bathroom area and they're super good".

This worker is visiting the Santiago Bernabéu for the second time. "We are from Albacete, and we are here because of the work. I will be working all summer, then I will return home for the fair in Albacete. We now have a home in Coslada thanks to the company. I have only been here for a month, but I had previously visited. In accordance with the phases, let us move and come".

He assures that the construction is proceeding at a very good pace and that "the stadium is stunning," but he does not know if everything will be ready by the end of the summer. "The works are very advanced, but I don't know if we will get to the beginning. We are more than 800 workers. I, for example, am the thousand-odd number. And the conditions are very good. Being inside the field we are fine. It's not very hot and we have many sources. The work is very well conditioned, really".

Finally, he mentioned that Florentino Pérez had been monitoring the progress of the works the previous week. He continued, "Tito Floren came by last week, but they would not let us enter his area," and then he left to continue working while the Despierta San Francisco program played in the background. "Every day at the Bernabéu, we turn on DSF at full volume. Despite the fact that I dislike Madrid, the stadium is incredibly attractive, and I am professional".
