LaLiga EA Sports is experiencing a strong surge in fan attendance, with supporters responding positively to their clubs’ calls for backing. During the first half of the season, average attendance has surpassed 30,000 spectators per match and is on track to set a new all-time record by the end of the 2025–26 campaign, exceeding last season’s total of 11.4 million fans.
According to data from Intelligence 2P, the market intelligence and strategy unit of 2Playbook, more than 5.8 million spectators have already attended matches in the top division across the first 19 matchdays. These numbers confirm a trend that has been steadily building since stadiums reopened following the pandemic.
Matchday revenue is currently enjoying its strongest period in years, driven by clubs either constructing new stadiums or planning major renovations. The goal is to enhance the fan experience and maximize income from facilities that, until recently, were largely underutilized outside of matchdays. In a period marked by uncertainty in the sports broadcasting market, ticket sales and fan engagement are proving to be a stable and increasingly important source of revenue for clubs.
Attendance growth is evident across the league. While the biggest clubs in the First Division continue their steady climb toward near-capacity crowds, mid- and lower-table teams are seeing even sharper increases, benefiting from greater room for growth. So far this season, 15 clubs—representing 75% of LaLiga—have surpassed 80% stadium occupancy.
At the top of the rankings, Real Madrid once again lead the way, averaging 73,828 spectators per match at the Santiago Bernabéu, reflecting a 1% increase compared to last season.
