Aurélien Tchouaméni has addressed the incident involving Fede Valverde late last year, playing down its severity and dismissing reports that the two Real Madrid teammates had been involved in a full-blown fight. The episode attracted considerable media attention, with speculation suggesting that a serious confrontation had taken place inside the dressing room.
The French midfielder has now clarified what happened, insisting that the situation was exaggerated and that there are no lingering problems between the two players.
"There was no fight between Fede Valverde and me. People talk a lot, and at Real Madrid things get blown out of proportion. Yes, there was some pushing and shoving, and it was inappropriate, but not a one-on-one fight like people were saying. If you go into the locker room today, you can't tell me that Fede and I have ever had any problems. Sometimes these things bring you closer to the person."
Tchouaméni's comments suggest that the incident is behind them, with both players having moved on from the disagreement.
