Real Madrid have confirmed that Aurélien Tchouaméni has picked up an injury after the match at Anfield. According to the club’s medical report, the French midfielder has suffered a semitendinosus muscle injury in his left leg, which is expected to keep him out for around three weeks.
The discomfort he felt toward the end of the game against Liverpool has now been officially diagnosed as this muscle injury. Xabi Alonso will be without Tchouaméni for roughly three weeks, a major setback for the coach, as the Frenchman had started in all 15 matches played by Real Madrid so far this season.
