Carlo Ancelotti's challenges continue to mount as Real Madrid faces an unprecedented situation with three key players suffering injuries on the same day. This string of bad luck has left the club in a difficult position, particularly with regard to the midfield, just after the international break.
Aurélien Tchouaméni, following in the footsteps of Ferland Mendy, had to leave the French national team's training camp in Clairefontaine after being assessed by the team's doctor, Franck Le Gall. The decision was made for Tchouaméni to return to Madrid for further tests.
Tchouaméni's injury involves the metatarsal bone in his left foot, the same foot that kept him out of the Champions League final at Wembley last season. This injury occurred following Real Madrid's match against Betis and will prevent him from participating in France's upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Italy and Belgium. Last season, Tchouaméni suffered two injuries that caused him to miss a total of 16 games for both Real Madrid and the French national team.
Real Madrid has confirmed that the French Federation has adhered to the club's medical recommendations, allowing both Tchouaméni and Mendy to return to Madrid for treatment. Their recovery process will begin tomorrow morning at Valdebebas, with their availability for the next match against San Sebastian remaining uncertain but not entirely ruled out.
