Aurélien Tchouaméni has addressed reports surrounding his alleged dressing-room incident with Fede Valverde, insisting that many of the claims made in the media were inaccurate.

Speaking from the French national team camp, the Real Madrid midfielder was asked about the controversy that reportedly led to both players receiving suspensions from the club.

“Obviously, things happened, you could see and hear it in the media. It was blown out of proportion because it was in the news, and when you play for Real Madrid, that creates a huge reaction. A lot of nonsense was said in the press. I read that there was a fight and that I had punched him... but that wasn't the case, although I won't go into details ,” he said.

The French international sought to move past the issue and stressed that his relationship with Valverde remains positive.

"Life goes on. Fede and I have a common goal: to win titles with Real Madrid. There are no problems, and if I face him in the World Cup, we'll both be eager to win. On a personal level, there are no problems with him right now ," he stated.

Tchouaméni also spoke about teammate Kylian Mbappé and the influence he has within both Real Madrid and the French national team.

"He's a leader on and off the field . He has the ability to connect with everyone, he's our captain, and he sets an example for us," he explained.
