Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart have set their sights on Gonzalo García, who has quickly become one of the most talked-about young talents at Real Madrid. According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, the German club’s interest is serious.
“García is the dream candidate for VfB Stuttgart for the upcoming transfer windows,” Plettenberg reported.
He adds that the young forward fits almost all of Stuttgart’s requirements and that talks have already taken place. Still, turning this into an actual transfer won’t be easy. “A move that VfB are pursuing appears very, very difficult to realise. Therefore, other options are being examined.”
García’s stock has risen sharply in recent months. The 21-year-old Spaniard, tied to Real Madrid until 2030, impressed with four goals at the recent Club World Cup, and he even earned a spot in the starting lineup against Manchester City yesterday.
Inside Madrid, García’s status is clear — he currently stands ahead of Endrick in the pecking order. That’s why any potential transfer becomes even more complicated. If García leaves, Endrick would no longer go on loan as originally planned, forcing the club to rethink their attacking structure.
