According to Diario de Sevilla, the Andalusian club has intensified negotiations for the highly rated shot-stopper, who is currently Real Madrid's third-choice goalkeeper behind Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin. While Sevilla's interest has been known for some time, the report claims they have now emerged as the leading contenders to secure his signature.

However, no agreement has been reached yet. Fran González has also attracted interest from several other clubs, including Espanyol, Celta Vigo and Racing Santander, while teams outside Spain are also monitoring his situation.

At Valdebebas, Real Madrid remain fully convinced of his long-term potential. The Spain youth international, who won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship and is now a regular with the Under-21 national team, is regarded as one of the country's most promising goalkeepers.

With Courtois and Lunin firmly ahead of him in the pecking order, Real Madrid are open to allowing the academy graduate to leave on a move that guarantees regular first-team football, believing valuable experience elsewhere could accelerate his development before a possible return in the future.
