Ferland Mendy's contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30, 2025, and several major European teams are keenly interested in him, according to a report published in L'Equipe. The French daily stated that Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Newcastle in England, Napoli in Italy, and Bayern Munich in Germany are among the teams interested in the defender.

Newcastle and Napoli appear to have the least chance of all of them because they will not be able to qualify for the upcoming Champions League, which is a must for Ferland Mendy if he departs Real Madrid. But L'Equipe maintains that both clubs, along with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Bayern, remain in touch with his entourage. The Bavarians might even think about swapping with Alphonso Davies, whom the Whites have had their eye on for several months.

L'Equipe further notes that Mendy, at 28 years old, is a player who causes divisions between the coaching staff and the management of the Santiago Bernabéu. Ancelotti highly values the player for his defensive ability, but the Real Madrid board has shown reluctance to offer him a renewal, mainly due to his long history of injuries. Although his contract ends in 2025, the Italian coach's insistence could result in a prompt renewal offer from the white club.
