Xabi Alonso’s departure sent shockwaves through Monday afternoon. The decisive meeting between the club president, the board, and the then–Real Madrid head coach took place at Valdebebas just hours after the team returned to Madrid.
Although the players had been given the day off, reactions to the news were immediate. Messages of farewell and support quickly flooded social media from most of the squad, reflecting the impact of the coach’s exit.
However, not everyone spoke publicly. Seven first-team players have so far remained silent on social media following Alonso’s dismissal: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Éder Militão, Ferland Mendy, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Júnior, Franco Mastantuono, and Brahim Díaz, who is currently in Morocco competing in the Africa Cup of Nations.
