Barcelona paid a total of 8.4 million euros over 17 years to José María Enríquez Negreira, the former vice president of the referees’ committee, according to the Civil Guard. This information is now reflected in bank documentation accessed by laSexta and submitted to the Court of Instruction number 1 in Barcelona, overseen by Judge Alejandra Gil, by seven financial institutions: Sabadell, Santander, Bankinter, BBVA, Ibercaja, ING, and La Caixa.

The documents detail checks, bank transfers, promissory notes, and account records linked to Enríquez Negreira and the intermediary José Contreras, who was used by FC Barcelona to channel the 8.4 million euros in payments between 2001 and 2018.

The material includes a total of 24 checks issued by Barcelona to the company Nilsad SA, owned by Enríquez Negreira, dated between February 16, 2016 and July 18, 2018, and paid on a monthly basis. It also reveals account movements, promissory notes, and checks of up to 190,000 euros between accounts held or authorized by Enríquez Negreira, his son Javier Enríquez Romero, his secretary Concepción Díaz, and his linesman José Martínez Alfonso.
