Sergio Ramos has surprised Real Madrid fans with a very special gesture tied to the release of his new song “Cibeles.” The former Madrid captain, now playing for Monterrey in Mexico, revealed in an Instagram video that he left a signed Real Madrid shirt hidden at the famous Fuente de Cibeles in Madrid.
“This is the shirt we’re going to leave at Cibeles after filming the video for this song, and I’m going to leave it here today so that when the song comes out, whoever arrives first can take it home. I hope you hold on to it with the same affection and feeling I did. Hala Madrid! ‘Cibeles’—listen to it, you’ll like it,” Ramos explained while signing the jersey.
On the shirt, he wrote a personal message: “Congratulations on being the first to arrive at Cibeles. Greetings from the captain. Hala Madrid!”
The video then shows Ramos leaving the shirt at the iconic fountain, a site forever linked with Real Madrid’s title celebrations.
The ‘treasure’ didn’t last long. A young Iranian man, who had seen Ramos’s Instagram story, rushed to the site and claimed the jersey. “I was at the Puerta de Alcalá and saw the video. I’m speechless. Sergio is a legend,” he said proudly while posing with the shirt.
