Sergio Martínez, 19, has lived 17 dream days. Just 17 days have passed since he fulfilled his dream of making his La Liga debut and scoring a goal, and now he has experienced another unforgettable moment: his first day at Valdebebas.
The players he expected to face in a couple of months at El Sardinero are now his teammates, sharing the dressing room and training sessions with him at Real Madrid.
The club's new signing experienced his first day as a Madridista on Wednesday, joining the first-team squad for training.
This will not yet be his starting point with the senior team, as Martínez will initially play for Castilla. However, he is expected to be heavily involved in daily training with José Mourinho's first team, giving him an opportunity to work alongside the players he has admired for years.
It is only the beginning of what promises to be a memorable journey at Real Madrid.
