The race to sign Arda Güler has heated up between Real Madrid and Barcelona. In hopes of moving toward the signing of the young player, Deco recently traveled to Turkey on behalf of the Blaugrana club. In fact, that visit results in contradictory information. While Gerard Romero claims that the Catalans and the player have reached an understanding in principle, Fanatik, a notable Turkish newspaper, claims that the Fenerbahçe player was not convinced by Barça's offer.

Real Madrid refuse to give up in the race for the signing of Güler. According to Fanatik, in the next few hours two important members of Real Madrid (Emilio Butragueño and Roberto Carlos) will travel to Turkey.

Despite the fact that Güler's clause is thought to be worth 17.5 million euros, Fanatik claims that Barcelona has offered 22 million to persuade Fenerbahçe.
