Víctor García Verdura, from the Catalan refereeing committee, will be the on-field referee. However, the spotlight quickly shifts to González Fuertes, a figure already surrounded by significant controversy. Now exclusively serving as a video assistant referee after stepping away from on-field duties, he is the same official who publicly threatened Real Madrid ahead of last season’s Copa del Rey final against Barcelona at La Cartuja.
