The turning point came in the 86th minute, when referee Slavko Vincic sent off Eduardo Camavinga after showing him a second yellow card. Reduced to ten men, Real Madrid lost control in the closing stages, allowing Bayern Munich to exploit the spaces and score twice in the final minutes to secure qualification.
