Gonzalo Garcia, one of Real Madrid’s most exciting young forwards, is on the cusp of breaking into the first team under the guidance of new manager Xabi Alonso. According to COPE journalist Miguel Ángel Díaz, the 21-year-old is nearing a permanent promotion to the senior squad, thanks to a string of impressive performances.

Although a final decision regarding his immediate future has yet to be made, the club is still weighing the option of a loan move to ensure consistent playing time. Nevertheless, Alonso is reportedly a firm believer in Garcia’s potential and is keen to include him in his plans for the 2025-26 season.

Garcia’s progress has sparked growing enthusiasm within the club. Sources say Alonso is “especially enthusiastic” about the striker, who has earned praise from both the coaching staff and his teammates during the FIFA Club World Cup.

The forward had already shown flashes of promise during the 2024–25 campaign under Carlo Ancelotti, though limited to brief appearances. However, his strong showings in the Club World Cup, particularly in two notable outings, have significantly strengthened his case to remain with the first team.
