The upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States is prompting Real Madrid to accelerate their transfer plans. With a potential early arrival of Xabi Alonso as head coach, the club wants to ensure its new project is ready to begin from day one.

While the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold is already generating buzz, another name is now gaining momentum: Dean Huijsen. According to journalist Joaquín Maroto on Siro López’s YouTube channel, Real Madrid are expected to finalize the signing of the talented center-back before the Club World Cup.

“Barring any surprises, I think they’ll announce Dean Huijsen before the Club World Cup,” said Maroto. The 19-year-old, currently at Bournemouth, is viewed as a key figure for the tournament, potentially forming a center-back duo with Raúl Asencio.

With Rüdiger and Alaba both recovering from meniscus surgery, Huijsen’s early arrival could be crucial for Real Madrid’s defensive setup at the tournament — and a strategic move to begin shaping Alonso’s project.
