Real Madrid cruised past Unicaja Málaga with a commanding 100-70 victory in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals at the Roig Arena, securing their thirteenth consecutive semi-final appearance. They will now face Valencia Basket this Saturday at 6:00 PM.
Sergio Scariolo’s side opened the tournament in emphatic fashion with a win that will be remembered in Copa history. Madrid built a lead of up to 37 points and posted a remarkable team performance index rating of 135. It was a collective display of dominance, with Lyles recording a 23 PIR and Maledon adding 21, as six players finished in double figures in that category.
Sergio Llull also reached a historic milestone. He became the player with the most minutes ever played in the tournament, totaling 982, and matched Juan Carlos Navarro for second place on the all-time list of Copa del Rey appearances with 44.
