Real Madrid has secured the signing of Izan Almansa, the talented power forward who spent last season with the Perth Wildcats in Australia’s NBL. The agreement keeps the 20-year-old tied to the club until June 30, 2029.
Almansa, already capped by Spain’s national team, boasts an exceptional youth record. He claimed gold at the 2022 U-18 European Championship in Turkey, gold at the 2023 U-19 World Cup in Hungary, and silver at the 2022 U-17 World Cup in Spain—earning MVP honors at all three tournaments.
After spending two seasons in Real Madrid’s youth system, where he won the Spanish U19 Championship in 2021, Almansa now returns to the club ready to make his mark at the professional level.
