Real Madrid have once again secured a prospect from Atlético Madrid’s academy setup. The latest arrival is 18-year-old center-back Aimar García, a 1.92-meter defender who, despite being a third-year youth player born in 2007, is currently competing with Atlético C in the Tercera División, the fourth tier of Spanish football. He has also trained under Diego Simeone in recent months.

This move marks García’s second spell at Real Madrid. Earlier in his development, he spent four seasons at La Fábrica before continuing his path elsewhere. Prior to his first stint in Valdebebas, he played for Rayo Vallecano. After leaving Madrid, he joined Getafe, where he remained for two years before signing for Atlético Madrid in 2023. Over the past three seasons, he has progressed through Atlético’s youth ranks.

With his contract set to expire in June, Real Madrid moved decisively to bring him back, reinforcing their defensive future with a highly rated young talent. The club reportedly outpaced several other top-tier academies that had shown interest in the promising defender.
