Real Madrid and Linda Caicedo have reached an agreement to extend her contract, keeping her at the club until June 30, 2031.
Caicedo arrived in 2023 at just 18 years old and has already made 99 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 26 goals. Despite being only 20, her career is filled with major achievements. She won the 2023 Golden Girl award and was selected for both the 2024 FIFPro Women’s World XI and the IFFHS All-Time XI. She was also named the second-best player in the world at The Best FIFA Women’s Player awards in 2023. In addition, her strike against Germany at the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand was voted the tournament’s best goal.
On the international stage, Caicedo made her debut for the Colombian national team at just 14 and has been a runner-up in the last two editions of the Copa América in 2022 and 2025. She was also included in the Copa América 2025 Best XI.
