Real Madrid have shared new footage from their latest training session, revealing Xabi Alonso’s focus on sharpening his attackers.

During the session, strikers such as Endrick and Gonzalo García — along with midfielders Jude Bellingham and Fede Valverde — received extra attention from the manager. Alonso worked with them on pressing high, recovering possession in the opponent’s half, and executing rapid finishes.

The players were instructed to act on instinct, taking immediate shots or recycling the ball quickly instead of hesitating or overpassing.

While Real Madrid have long been admired for their patient build-up play and fluid passing, Alonso appears intent on adding a more ruthless edge to their attack — emphasizing one or two-touch finishes that maintain tempo and intensity.

This tactical tweak could catch many La Liga teams off guard, as such direct, high-speed finishing is notoriously difficult to defend against.
