Real Madrid’s stance on the January transfer window remains unchanged. The club maintains that quality signings are rarely available mid-season and, when they are, the asking prices tend to be inflated beyond reason.

Rather than reinforcing the squad in winter, the club trusts its stability, depth, and internal solutions to remain competitive across all competitions. As a result, despite Xabi Alonso’s desire to add a new midfielder in January, the coach is unlikely to see that request fulfilled.
