Real Madrid has outlined near-final figures for the Santiago Bernabéu stadium renovation in its 2024–25 financial report. As of June 30, 2025, the total investment has reached €1.347 billion—very close to the expected final cost of the project.

Launched in 2019, the renovation has already completed key structural elements like the roof, façade, and retractable pitch. Over the past year, progress has accelerated in developing the stadium's commercial components, including VIP sections, the RM Experience, event spaces, hospitality services, and the new official store. According to the club, these commercial initiatives are the main drivers behind the transformation.

The club also updated the status of its financing. By November 2023, it had drawn the full €1.17 billion loan allocated for the project. After years of interest-only payments, Real Madrid began repaying the principal, €15 million in 2023–24 and €23 million in 2024–25, leaving an outstanding balance of €1.132 billion as of June 30, 2025.

Final construction is expected to conclude during the 2025–26 season, with efforts focused on completing restaurant areas and addressing soundproofing challenges tied to concerts. Noise concerns from early events prompted local objections and planning constraints, making this a key priority.

Once technical and legal guidelines are resolved, the club expects to resume hosting concerts—an essential element of the Bernabéu’s future revenue model. Alongside the RM Experience, premium areas, and year-round event calendar, these events aim to position the Bernabéu as a global multipurpose venue. One of the club’s standout future goals is hosting an official NFL game at the stadium, signaling its ambition to further globalize the space.
