Real Madrid were back in action at Valdebebas following the Christmas break, with Xabi Alonso leading a training session that included almost the entire squad. The focus is already on Sunday’s La Liga clash against Real Betis, scheduled for 4:15 p.m.

Several players were missing from the session. Militão, Carvajal, Brahim and Trent did not train with the group. Brahim is currently away with his national team at the Africa Cup of Nations, while the other three continue their recovery processes. Among them, Carvajal, who has been sidelined since late October, is considered the most likely to make his return by the start of 2026.

There was positive news elsewhere, as Federico Valverde rejoined the group after missing the previous league match against Sevilla. The Uruguayan had been out due to flu symptoms and an ankle issue, both of which he has now overcome.

Real Madrid will continue their preparations on Tuesday, December 30, with the club set to host its traditional open training session for fans at Valdebebas, starting at 11:00 a.m.
