Real Madrid continue to push for further midfield reinforcements despite already securing the signing of Bernardo Silva. According to reports, José Mourinho remains determined to strengthen the center of the pitch, with Enzo Fernández emerging as the club's priority target.

Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari reports that Real Madrid and the Argentine midfielder have already reached a verbal agreement over personal terms. The proposed deal would reportedly keep Enzo at the Santiago Bernabéu until 2031, with a salary placing him among the club's highest earners.

Longari claims the player is eager to make the move and is prepared to push for the transfer. However, the biggest obstacle remains Chelsea, who are reluctant to part ways with one of their most important players. The Premier League side are expected to demand at least €120 million for the Argentine international.

Initial contacts between the two clubs are expected in the coming days as Real Madrid look to test Chelsea's stance and explore the possibility of reaching an agreement.

The Spanish giants believe they may have an important factor working in their favor. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso is known for preferring not to keep players who wish to leave, a philosophy that reportedly played a role in Marc Cucurella's departure earlier this summer.

With the player allegedly willing to make the move and Real Madrid eager to strengthen their midfield, attention now turns to negotiations between the two clubs. Chelsea's position will ultimately determine whether one of the biggest transfers of the summer can become a reality.
