Real Madrid have put a tailored recovery plan in place for Franco Mastantuono to help him rediscover his best form, according to Marca.
The Argentine youngster made a brilliant start to the season after his arrival from River Plate, quickly impressing with his performances. However, his momentum was halted by pubalgia, an injury that disrupted his rhythm and limited his impact after returning to action. Since then, Mastantuono has struggled to regain his earlier level, sparking speculation about a possible January loan move.
Those rumors have been firmly dismissed inside the club. Real Madrid have no intention of letting Mastantuono go, and Xabi Alonso is fully committed to reintegrating him into the team. The coach plans to give the 18-year-old winger increased responsibility from this month onward, believing consistent minutes are key to restoring his confidence and sharpness.
Mastantuono’s role has become even more significant given the current squad context. Kylian Mbappé’s injury and Brahim Díaz’s participation in AFCON 2025 have opened up space in the attacking rotation, increasing the chances for the Argentine to feature prominently as Real Madrid navigate a demanding period of the season.
