Almansa, the birthplace of Santiago Bernabéu, hosted a tribute to the former Real Madrid president, who led the club from 1943 to 1978 and oversaw one of the most successful periods in its history. Real Madrid vice president Eduardo Fernández de Blas attended the event alongside former player José Antonio Salguero.
As part of the tribute, a commemorative plaque was unveiled on the facade of the house where Santiago Bernabéu lived, marking the 130th anniversary of his birth. The plaque reads: “Here, Don Santiago Bernabéu de Yeste was born and lived.”
