Real Madrid remain committed to extending Vinicius Jr.'s contract beyond its current expiration date of June 2027, with the club eager to resolve his future as soon as possible.
Although both parties still prioritize continuing together, the financial gap between Vinicius' demands and Real Madrid's offer remains significant. According to Mario Cortegana, if no agreement is reached, influential figures within the club would support selling the Brazilian before the transfer window closes rather than risk entering the final year of his contract.
Should that scenario unfold, Arsenal are considered the leading candidates to sign the winger. The Premier League club, backed by Mikel Arteta, are reportedly enthusiastic about the possibility of bringing Vinicius to London and would be prepared to launch an offer worth around €150 million if contract talks with Real Madrid collapse.
Despite the growing speculation, Vinicius' priority remains staying at the Santiago Bernabéu. However, the report suggests that the Brazilian views Arsenal as his preferred alternative if an agreement with Real Madrid cannot be reached.
For that reason, there is still optimism that the forward could reduce some of his financial demands in order to secure a new long-term contract and continue his career with the Spanish giants.
