Some time ago, reports emerged linking Real Madrid with Konstantinos Karetsas, an 18-year-old Greek attacking midfielder who has been impressing at Belgian side Genk. At the time, the interest was limited to close monitoring by the club’s scouting department, with very positive internal reports, but without any concrete steps taken, as is common with many emerging talents.

Now, AS confirms that Real Madrid are actively tracking Karetsas, while also warning that competition for his signature is intensifying. According to the report, major European clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain are all keeping a close eye on the young midfielder.

AS also notes that Karetsas is under contract with Genk until 2029, with a release clause estimated to be between €30 and €40 million. As a result, if Real Madrid want to move ahead of their rivals, they may need to act decisively and sooner rather than later.
