The 2027 Spanish Super Cup will be held in Istanbul for the first time, with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirming the agreement on Thursday.
RFEF president Rafael Louzán signed the agreement in Istanbul, with next year’s tournament scheduled to take place from February 2 to 6. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Atlético Madrid will compete for the trophy.
The competition, featuring the LaLiga and Copa del Rey champions alongside their respective runners-up, will be played across three stadiums with a combined capacity of approximately 150,000 spectators.
Barcelona and Atlético Madrid will meet in the first semi-final on February 2 at the Chobani Stadium, the home of Fenerbahce, which has a capacity of around 48,000.
The second semi-final will see Real Sociedad face Real Madrid on February 3 at the Tüpra? Stadium, home of Besiktas, with a capacity of 42,590.
The final will be played at the Ali Sami Yen Stadium, the home of Galatasaray, which can accommodate around 52,000 spectators.
It will be the first time Istanbul hosts the Spanish Super Cup, adding another major international event to the Turkish city's sporting calendar.
