LaLiga has published the updated salary caps for all teams in the Spanish top flight, with Real Madrid once again leading the ranking by a significant margin.
Real Madrid have a salary limit of €832 million, €250 million more than second-placed Barcelona, whose ceiling stands at €582 million.
Atlético de Madrid (€361 million), Villarreal (€170 million) and Real Betis (€143 million) complete the top five.
Overall, LaLiga’s combined salary limits have increased by 15%, a figure that points to continued economic recovery among clubs that have faced financial difficulties in recent years.
Real Madrid’s position, however, highlights the club’s strong financial health compared with many of its competitors. The figures are also another reflection of the economic stability achieved under Florentino Pérez’s leadership.
The Real Madrid president has overseen a project that has combined sporting success with major investments, including the redevelopment of the Santiago Bernabéu. However, the club’s financial growth remains one of the achievements that has defined his tenure at the helm.
