According to German newspaper Bild, Real Madrid are closely monitoring the progress of Bayer Leverkusen center-back Jarell Quansah. The defender has attracted attention with his performances at the start of the season, although his displays have also generated some scrutiny.
Real Madrid are considering Quansah as a potential defensive reinforcement for next season, but several factors could complicate a possible transfer.
Quansah is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2030. However, Liverpool, who sold the defender to the German club in 2025, included a €70 million buy-back clause in the agreement. The clause is valid until June 15, 2027, giving Liverpool until that date to decide whether to bring the center-back back to Anfield or allow him to remain in Germany or move to another club.
Real Madrid could therefore face competition for Quansah's signature, with Chelsea also reportedly interested in the defender.
