Real Madrid are increasingly confident about bringing Jacobo Ramón back to the club. The academy graduate left in search of regular first-team football and the opportunity to develop in European football, and his move has proved a success. The centre-back has established himself at Como and emerged as one of the most promising players in his position, attracting interest from several major European clubs, particularly in the Premier League.
That interest has prompted an immediate response from Real Madrid, who are considering activating the €9 million buy-back clause included in their agreement with Como. The fee is considerably lower than Ramón's current estimated market value of around €45 million. According to reports, Real Madrid are considering a strategy similar to the one used with Nico Paz: bringing back their academy graduate before deciding on his future.
However, the club appears keen to keep the defender in the squad, viewing him as a valuable option for the years ahead. According to José Félix Díaz of Diario AS, Real Madrid see Jacobo Ramón as an ideal replacement for Antonio Rüdiger. Bringing the Madrid-born defender back would therefore likely mean the German centre-back leaving, with his contract set to expire next summer. Nevertheless, Díaz adds that no final decision has been made.
